Question Z is a sexy car,Volk's are awesome wheels, nothing is perfect, fender rolling issues

It seems that nobody here ever heard about fender rolling, you feel like you are from a far away galaxy plus when you mention the phrase "Fender rolling" MIB guys are all around you, and after searching and reading most of the threads about Fender rolling i know every thing about it,,,

-not comfortable of doing it myself, i know i'll end up with a wide body kit in the back if i did it, i'm not a fan of the heater gun and the plastic pipe or the baseball bat.

-can't rent the device i'm not in the US, and i don't want to buy it or start a buisness with it.

i want to drive the car happely and to check what are TEIN's bragging about at improving your cornering,,,

i have volks GT-C 19"

Front 9.5 face1 +33 michelin 255/35,

Back 10.5 face2 +23 michelin 295/30

if someone have the same offset tire setup or he knows if he had the setup, it want be an issue for him, i'll be appreciated if he have pictures of his back fenders rolled,,,

mind you guys i have the TEIN Super Street the car is lowered from the back, length from fender to tire is around 1.5 in.

THANKS alot Guys.

Ive posted SEVERAL pics of fenders Ive rolled in Z's. You will need it fo rthat rear offset/width. What are you asking about? Procedures, tool pics, before/after have been posted by me in the past. I do it for local cars, done about 6 Z's, 1 G35 and a Celica thus far with no paint cracking issues.

As Alberto siad, you will need it with your setup. The ONLY options (which I don't like) is to get skinnier tires in the rear, like 275 (It will be stretched though), also running some neg camber and slamming your car. Buy the fendor rolling tool, it's not that expensive. OR.. have a body shop cut the inside of your fenders. I don't see how any bodyshop wouldn't be able to fold those in (roll), or simply cut them. But if you do cut, sand and paint the ends.

indeed,, you are right about the skinny tires i don't like them at all, i actually didn't drive the Z with stocks, i directly installed the wheels and tires with suspension, about cutting what i've read in the forum guys don't prefer cutting them, i also read that if a bodyshop don't have a clue don't do it,
i don't care i might cut them but first i want to have some pics after the rolling and then i'll go to a body shop explain and supervise the process try the car, it doesn't work i'll cut the damn thing, i really why it is even there, why did nissan put them, i don't think because of reinforcment, its more to tease us,,, and Thanks.
Thanks to you too

From wayyyy back in the day-scroll down for pics of when I had mine rolled (before I started doing it)

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-tires/133269-pics-limited-edition-gloss-black-le37-s.html

Pic of a Z I did AFTER rolling-no difference on the outside

Another thread where I rolled for a local member/friend, he posted pics...GOOD LUCK!

Alberto, can I ask how much I can expect to get my rears rolled for? I've got a set of 10.5 +15s with 275s coming in, so I'm sure I need them done.

Oh, and the ones you've done look good.

I do them for $80, I paid $100 to have them done, some may have hookups and pay $50 fo rboth rears. This tool can be destructive if not in some patient hands. First set I ever did was on my beater and I f*cked it all up-lesson learned lol. Havent had an issue since.

So to summarize anywhere from $80-120 for BOTH rears is fair. Higher end body shops shuold have the tool. If a body shop doesnt have a tool look elsewhere. Good luck.

I did run -2 degrees camber-that only wears slightly faster than the edge of being in spec which is -1.6

Since those old pics, I have swapped from JIC's to Tein Mono Flex and raised the car. I now run only -1 rear camber to help with traction and no rub still-but Im higher now, I'll be doing 295/35's soon. What are you lowering on?

Your welcome Phil...

OP-Id like to see pics, rolling can handle 90% of set-ups for this car but for extreme situations cutting VERY close to the edge and repainting the edge is the only option. OR-you can have the fenders flared some for clearance but I havent seen that done in this community. The fender rolling tool can do it...
