Default Blue dots on rims? What are they?

I thought I was the only one with these blue dots on my rims, when I noticed a seller selling his 06 OEMs with the same thing! What the hell are they for?

At the top of the rim:

Edge of the left spoke:

I also have one blue dot on the corner of my taillight. :\

Note: Pics aren't mine, but from a seller.

you seriously need to clean that ****. The dot is from the manufacturer so you can tell if the wheels have ever been repainted or refinished

The dot is for uniformity match-mounting.

impossible.

I bought my 07' like that and thought it was just me. after noticing it a few days later, i decided to let it go since i already brought it home.

after a few picture reviews of fs threads on 06/07 wheels, i then noticed it wasn't just me.

NiSSan engineers put em on each wheel so that for warranty purposes they can tell if you are playing your music too loud, no really this is the truth

Hey Arnold, I really like your rims, especially the blue dot accents.

I would never let my rims look that dirty, haha. I shined them down yesterday, and once more today. =P

And I detail my car once every month.

Don't the dots fall off when you go over 100 mph?
