Looking at going 18x9 w/40mm offset for both front and rear on a 255/40/18, is it possible, or should I jsut stick to 18x8 front and 18x9 rear?
I'm currently dropped on unrevised 350z springs, but might go lower in the front.

I am sure you can put on the 18x9. Haven't some guys used 18-19 X10?

you can definately do it... i know a sedan that ran 18x9 w/ 30 offset...

looking for pix, will post when i find it.

18x9+30 will def need a roll/aggressive camber in the rear, alot of sedan guys running the OEM coupe 19's with 8.5+33 still rub in the rear without a roll

 

Okay, so it seems that it's safe to say that 18x9 all around w/40mm offset will work fine.
I think that would look better than staggering 18x8front and 18x9rear.
Can't wait to see how it'll look w/255/40/18 all-around.

 

Use a offset calculator to compare your current wheels to the new wheels. With the new dimensions, check the car with a tape. Do you clear the suspension, brakes calipers and fenders? Reference: http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
