bong....did not think about the understeer........what about an 18 up front and a 19 out back? I want to burn factory tires first so im thinking of buying the 18x8 and 18x9 now and when I wear the factory tires off put the 18x9 up front and buy the 19x9.5 or 10 in the rear with new rubber.......will this work out?

And honestly the ride on 19s isn't awful, if you expect good ride quality out of the z, you should have gotten a g35. Stock the z isn't very smooth, and it shouldn't be IMO. Although I think the ride got better after putting on my hotchkis springs.
your posts have been very usefull thank you...

how noticable is the weight that you gained with the tires?? does it feel (i mean even a tiny bit) more sluggish off the line??

You can get 285's in the front if you keep the offset around 30

Didn't feel any more sluggish off the line than it normally did, the only difference now is I can launch a lot harder than I could with the factory 235s

If I go with 18x9.5 all around, what tire size should I get?

275 all around, should neutralize the under steer a little. Or if you really want staggered widths 265/275

275/35/18 up front and 275/40/18 out back, I think that would be with a 2% difference in speed between wheels, stock there is 1.5% variance. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

i run 18x9.5 on the back end of my car. I've had both 285/35s and my current set up of 275/40. Honestly, i liked the 285s better for handling, but the 275s look better. (they dont stick out from the rim)

One of my friends is trying to sell me some HRE C21's. 19x9.5(front) 19x10 (rear). He's not really sure what offset. I tried them on and they fit perfect. $1,800!!! If you've seen these, you know they retail at $1,500 a wheel. The only thing I noticed is that the driver side wheel is scratched and has a small dent. You guys think it's worth buying them and fixing the rim? I heard repairing wheels makes them weak.. Any one got any input?

I know a few people who are running on wheels that have been fixed with 0 problems. Just make sure you take it somewhere reputable so the wheel is balanced and not lopsided after fixing it.
