Default Malfunctioning tire pressure sensor

My tire pressure sensor is malfunctioning. It started blinking last night and one of the rear tire sensors is not working. This is the third time its happened and I'll be bringing in the car for service. Is this a common problem or do I just have a tire pressure sensor lemon?

Are they on the stock wheels or aftermarket ones?

When you have been in before, did they replace any or just recalibrate them?

I'd say it's not a common problem at all. Sure, you're going to see a few go belly-up over time.

The wheels are stock and they recalibrated them. I got the car in March. Within 2 days one malfunctioned. Had it recalibrated and there was another malfunction within 2 weeks. Had another recalibration and it lasted until yesterday. The present malfunction is on a different tire. I've got a service appointment for late next week and will ask about what is going on. I was just curious if anyone else had a problem like this.

Sounds more like the receiver isn't working properly. The chances of multiple sensors flaking out over time like that seem rather small.

I see what you are saying, but it's odd that the sensors that were recal'd are now working, and its affecting other sensors. You would think the receiver would hose all of them.
