Default 19"s in the front 20"s in the rear

I've been wanting to upgrade my wheels but I don't think I want 20's all around. I drive in Miami and the roads aren't the best around here since they're always doing construction to compensate for all the traffic. I want to get 19"s in the front so I can have a bigger sidewall to absorb the constant obstacles on the road. Since the wheel arc in the back is bigger I was things a 20" would look proper, similar to the corvette setup.

Does anyone on the board have this setup?

It's been done...It looks good since 255/35-19 285/30-20 will give you approx the same sidewall height, but I'm not sure what is does to handling dynamics.

I know I am likely to flamed but who cares...

If you are worried about absorbing rutts and bumps, have you considered going with 18's and 19's?

Chances are you could get a lighter wheel and tire package, plus you would have a few extra millimeters of sidewall to protect the rims.

Personally, I'd take a page out of the World Rally Championship book and go with the smallest (diameter) lightest rims that clear the brakes with tires that work best for your typical road conditions...but that's just me.

I have 18's and 19's (standard on GT) and i wouldn't say is helps with absorbing the impact of rutts and bumps much (if at all)

on the flip side, the handling is quite nice.

Good point, but they would probably do a better job than 19's and 20's

ive seen these guys with 350z nd g35 hookin up their cars with 19" in the front and 20" in the back at their car meets

i personally like the 20" all around look... i have the Axis Matrix with the 5" lip in the back and 2.5" in the front
