Question Tires??

I recently purchased a set of Goodyear rs-a rear tires, They are all season (West Virginia ) and they seem to feel a little funny,I'm thinking it's the shape of the tire. But not really sure? Anyone else have this sort of thing happen? Just wondering if it's me or the tire feeling funny

it could be many different things, take it into a tire shop and ask them to look for seporation or even if the rim/tire is unbalanced. maybe the weights fell off? there are numerous things that it could be. could even come down to mechanical problems camber positive, negative or even toe in or out.

Do they feel funny like "ha ha" or funny like not right.

Of course, just kidding ... but could you elaborate a little more?

Are they brand new? May have to drive them a little if so. I know when I had Kumho's on my old car, they felt disconnected from the road a little, but after a track day and wearing them down a little, they hugged pretty good.

I think you answer the OP’s question. New tires are “greasy” and slippery, and never feel right for the first few miles. You only notice this on a performance car (such as the Z). And... Driving the tires “hard” and heating them shortens the break-in period.

I don't think RS-A are particularly good tires. They sure didn't do well at http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....del=Eagle+RS-A.

They were the stock tires on my former 02 Nissan Maxima and they squealed VERY easily. One of my friends used to joke that they squeal when you even think of turning.

It's too bad that you already bought them as there seem to be much better choices for the Z on tirerack.com.

For me, since I care about handling on my Z and my rears are worn, there's no way I'm buying crap tires.
