Default 265s on rear stock rims....

I have 06' factory 5 spoke rims. I think the rears are 8.5 wide. My rear tires are pretty much gone, but my fronts are like new, so no need to replace. Can i go 265/40/18 on the rerar, and be within spec for VDC. And will my geometry be all jacked up with the factory 225s up front?? Thanks!!

No, VDC wise, you will be fine and a 265/40 will fit on the 8.5" wheel, you just have to be prepared to get some sidewall flex, since 265 is above recommended spec for an 8.5" wheel. You'd be better off to get 255/40 and 245/40 on the fronts when they need replacing
