Default LE, TE Question

Quick question, are the LE37 and TE37 the same wheel but the LE having a polished lip??? I keep looking at pictures but I can't really tell the differences, I guess I have been trying to find a difference for so long that i have confused myself ... I am looking into getting black wheels for my Z

Yes I know about the cool search feature.....

most likely, yes they are. I doubt they have a sleeve over the lip, it's likely just machined and clearcoated.

though I have noticed the LEs tend to be a flatter face, I guess to maximize the lip area? unless the spoke design is actually different. (post pics of both)

They are the same except for the LE's having the diamond cut (polished) lip. One of the reasons for the appearance of the face is different may have to do with the center caps. The TE's had flat plugs which the LE's came with the raised V/R caps.

BTW - LEs are no longer in production.

I guess, in theory you could get them polished and they would look similar.

Yeah, they are the same wheel, just the LE's have the shiny lip. Everything else is pretty much the same. If you wanted some black face spokes with the polish lips (ie LE37T Gloss Black) there may be a few vendors who might have some left...

Take care

I had a set of gunmetal LE's and loved them, but the lip on LE's and CE's are not polished. It's a machined silver lip, just not a high polish at all.
