Painting stock wheels

not necessarily, you could paint them yourself, they come out pretty decent. Mine have been painted for about a year and they still look perfect. Just make sure you take your time and do everything right. You could paint them yourself for under $40-50 bucks.
But if you want a really high gloss finish i would say powder coating or professional painting is the way to go. If you want a satin or flat finish you cant really mess much up if you do it your self. However i dont think you should do them flat black because it just looks off, i did mine in satin and i love it.

Personal preference on this one. I once spray painted my Probe GT rims gold then threw a gold and green pin stripe on the car. They lasted for about 4-5 years. I repainted them gold again after and after another 5 years and 150K I sold the car for good bucks. Even though the car was underpowered the turbo was kind of fun:
It was what I could afford at the time. It only cost about $5-10 to do this. Just take your time and tape off what you don't want to spray.
A lot of people didn't like it. But, I did it because I liked it. That is how I do all my mods. I do them as I like them. I might get people's opinion on what they think is best. Sometimes I can afford the best. Sometimes I can afford second best that still look better than stock.... jmho.
I was actually thinking about doing that to the stock 04 wheels until the '06 wheels showed up on the scene. I picked up a set cheap and will drive those on the street. I'm buy a expensive set eventually for the track that will be light .... and they might be gold.

I was just wondering, what kind of paint would I need to do this or where should I get this done? Just local body shop? Thank you.
*btw, I tried searching*
