there is no such thing as a "best chrome lug nut" you want durable stick with stock, they look kinda chrome

the problem is that the stock ones weren't meant for use with aftermarket rims...is that correct?

true. but usually when you get a set of aftermarket wheels you also get a set of lugs for them. again in some cases those are best for those particular wheels.

Baaah.

i'm gonna give the gorilla tuner lug nuts a try.
12mmx1.25 LOL
for like 30 bucks, can't go wrong...
i'm sure they're stronger than the muteki's or kyokegwhateverthefrick.

Mcguard makes great chrome lugs with narrower profiles and locking lugs. Pick up some of those for a reasonable price

I've had chrome Gorilla locks for about 4yrs. They've been great. I switched to Ray's aluminum ones now, so I've got 2 extra sets w/keys if anyone is interested...

Buy any of the popular brands like

Muteki
Kyokugen
Project Kics
J's Racing
Spoon Sports
or BLOX Racing

and you should be OK.

Seriously for chrome lugs you have to go with McGard SplineDrive lugs, there really isn't anything else out there thats compares to them. They're Extremely durable and won't fade like Rays/Work lugs, not heavy, they have a rotating taper seat like the Project Kics lugs, and are weight balanced with McGard wheel locks. McGard is trusted and used by OEM manufacturers as well.

The only thing is that they aren't JDM

http://www.mcgard.com/automotive/new_prod.asp

They're about double the price of Muteki lugs but they are worth it.

yeah, get the mcgard spline drives. Mine has taken good abuse and still good. The key lock is very strong as well.
