hmm. now this is a phenomenon i don't understand.
i love super wide wheels, especially in the back, but i despise the stretched tire look...
am i missing something here? does having too-small tires benefit the handling or something in a way that i don't understand? or do you guys actually truly like the look?

its all about taste. not saying either are beter looking because aesthetics is subjective. hardly any benefit that anyone will notice anything on the street as far as handling goes.

onedirtyz,
In my case it is limited spacing and also the look that I wanted. I am in search of the perfect rear tire right now as we speak because the stretch is a little to much right now. Stretching is for maximum wheel lip with fender clearance...if I had a 295 or 285 on my 19x11.5" wheel I would not be able to get the car off of the lift after the install...basically the car wouldn't even roll.
Does that answer your question?
And to clear things up....it's not to be cheap and buy the narrowest tire on the market to save money because I'm not broke....it's limited clearance.
