well, imitation is the highest form of flattery. if someone wants to copy i dont see whats wrong with that. in fact, i welcome it afterall, it's just a car..

i know its and "older" style but i have been on this forum from the begining and as well as G35driver, and just with in the last 2 years has "fitment" been a buzz word. before it was "oh you have volks your cool". i have been to the meets and shows for over 12 years built many cars. and still fitment is not so mainstream. you'll see plenty of wide body cars and really heavily mod'd cars with sh1tty fitment. yes its older but new to alot of peeps on here.

I agree with Dij post. if someone wants to mimic a persons stlye that is the highest form of any compliment.

+1 it's not enough to just throw on some wheels and lower a car anymore.

The "fitment" thing has been around for awhile, especially for more compact German (VW) and Japanese cars with smaller sized wheels.

As far the 19" inch and beyond, wide wheels and pushed to the edge community, they still make up a very small percentage given the size and availability of tires in the past few years. (especially in the European, VIP or exotic car scene).

It's certainly not a "new trend", but for cars equipped with bigger wheels, it is sorta "new and special".

+2 my sentiments exactly, it's been done for many, many, many years on many other makes and models and in many other countries, it can legitimately be categorized as "old school" at this point

hey, is it okay to run 235/35/19 on a 9.5" for the rear.......?
I want a nice rear stretch but 9.5" wide makes it a little rough to play with.

Will I still get traction? lol. I dont race, I just want to cruise low and slow..

You'll be fine... I had a 235/35/19 tire on my 9.5 and it didn't look TOOooo stretched. As a matter of fact, you're within range.

Depending on quality of tire, you'll have as much, if not more, traction than a lowered Stock Z on the old Shietenza Reo40 tires.

within range? then mehhhh.... ill find new wheels I guess.
I want to be out of manufacturer recommended range, but not too deep into o'**** range like a 195 on a 12" wheel haha.

Time to find something else I like and do more research on tire sizes..
