so im maxed out on my hypermaxIII coilovers and with my new setup it looks like the rear needs to come down a bit. what kinds of things do u guys do take out both of the collars on the spring? how much lower will that drop me? and for fronts all i can think of is tightening the preload on the spring will that do anything? or any other suggestions without having to change my coilovers.

as for the fronts, they should go pretty low. adding preload will effectively lower it, but will have negative effects on handling. try removing the collars
you cant cut anything on hks hipermaxs. youre talking about the stock rubber mount

i have them too and maxed out the rears today. if you remove both collars, the spring will have some freeplay (droop) until you lower the car off the jack. i wanted to play it safe so i only removed 1 collar on each side in the rear.

How much lower approx did it go when you took one collar off the rear spring? The fronts i dont think u can remove any collars just tighten preload but my front is looking ok the rear will need adjusting. Im going to the shop after worl to get the tires and spacers put on so i will get them to do this as well. Any extra tips would be appreciated thanks guys
from what it seems, however thick the collar is, is how much lower it'll go with it removed more or less.
hipermax's are not meant to lay frame. i mean, you can remove both collars, but the spring will droop until you lower the car off the jack like I said, which in return will affect handling.
removing 1 collar will yield you fair results, but dont have too high of an expectation.
