Default 245/40/18 or 255/40/18 with 285/35/18..... Anyone got PICS?

Anyone have pics with either setup? There isn't many 285/35/18 options out there, but I really don't like the look of the 275/40....... Trying to get the sidewall as close as possible weight wise while staying staggered. Don;t mind if the rear is a tad beffier but the 245/40 275/40 setup is too off to me.

Thanks

Geez… I was thinking about a similar setup (wide tires on 18“ wheels). But, looking at the pictures posted on this thread I’m thinking they look a little “meaty.”

Also, the drop doesn’t look quite right to me since the tire’s perimeter doesn’t maintain a concentric relationship to the wheel well.

I’m not an expert on wheels, so maybe I’m all wrong.

Combo, that's cool, but I wont buy the Toyo's... Completely hate them, no where near as sticky as what im looking for. Im also looking for something wider. I hate over steer. BTW the Rotas in that color look great on the SS. I as well have a similar color wheel on my SS.

Zridder, thanks for the PICS, but no idea on tire specs??????

Just get the proper size for the front to keep the stock oversteering stagger. 265/35-18

Thanks Zridder.... I love that setup, what kind of tires do you have?

Terrasmak - That will in no way help my over steer problem. More rubber out back is one step, fine tuning with sways is another thing I need to play with.

Was also thinking about a 255/40 and 295/35.... Think those would be too fat? Anyone with that setup?

Looks like the KDW2's about the only thing in this size though, which is a good tire so I don't mind.

That would be a 255/35 and 285/35 combo with wheels in the 25 to 30mm offset range. If your looking to drive it, you will want to stay with a 20.. width in stagger , if not lower. The Z is a plow (understeer) and bringing the stagger down from the factory 20mm will help a lot.

I have that combo sitting in the garage on my spare rota torques. I'm running BFG DR's in the back and BFG KDW 2's in the front. It looks a bit meaty but I have yet to see them on the car. I'll make sure to post up some pics when I get the car back.

What? Did you miss where I said I have aftermarket wheels with a +20 offset on all 4 corners? Your posts confuse me.... what are you talking about, i don't have under steer problems....

Try to read again, DO YOU KNOW HOW TIRES ARE MEASURED?? My last post to you had nothing to do with offset .

Yes your saying I should get a tire within 20MM width of each other ie. 265f and 285r... That's great, that will help a lot with under steer.... However I don't have under steer problems, I have problems with the rear being too lose (over steer) meaning I want more rubber on the pavement out back. The front is fine.
