Default Advan wheels question

What's up guys i have a bit of an idea but im not sure what people think..
I don't have money for some sick wheels for my z .. i have some gay 19" hp evos on there with a +45 offset thats wack and i would love some new wheels.. i found some Super Advan Wheels online used for $ 400 they are 17x7 +35.. i was thinking of buying them refurbishing the lips and powdercoating them so they would look really nice and then getting like a 20mm spacer !! i really like the advans cause i think they look sick !! n i figured everything would probably cost me like 1000 maybe 1300 rather than 3500 for some sick as brand new wheels !!

I think it'll add a nice look to my car im just unsure of the 17"s on a the z but thats why im asking for opinions.. thanks

Nothing wrong with 17s on a Z, though at 7 inches wide you really will be hard pressed to get rubber wide enough to handle even stock levels of power in the lower gears. Just my .02... wait on what the more experienced people here have to say.

What about 17-inch wheels on a 350Z?

17s aren't a problem, but the 7 widths is kinda small..

Lightbulb From...

what you're describing, this can actually work but reading between the lines, it really doesn't appear to be what you want. Nor does your current situation seem to be acceptable to you.

What about just saving for something that might better fit your needs? Perhaps a second job, selling a few old things no longer needed and being patient?

If none of that works, then go for it.

like other member said, 17" is not a problem but wide...

with that price range you can get nice used rims from classifield. just keep look and look, you might have good chance to get nice rims for good price.
