This is how much the volk gts weighs, does anyone know how they compare to other 19's?

 

Probably about average.

 

Well 20" axis mod 7's weigh about that much..

 

Well, the OEM RAYS "superlight" forged 19" rear wheels from the 06-08 track and GT models weight about 29.5 lbs apiece.

My new AME Circular Spec-R in a 19x10 weight about 25 lbs.

The Volk GT series are more for looks (luxury) than their lightweight TE's and LE's.

I think wheel quality is more important than weight. The GTS' are awesome-looking. Don't worry about the weight so much. unless you are racing on rough road conditions where unsprung weight is crucial.

 

That's about average. The GT-series isn't the lightest, with forged barrels and cast centers. Lighter than many other wheels, but not significantly.

 

27.6 pounds is heavier than some wheels and lighter than others.

 

the lightest i heard was 19 pounds for 19"
its those titanium wheels tho with the crazy lips.

 

 

As some people have chimmed in if your gonna race or track the vehicle with competition then go for lighter wheels.

In all honesty the wheels might be heavy or sound heavy but it's all about the tire. 19' tires are gonna weight more then 18" unless there's less mass like if your buy a 305 over a 275 and so on.

 

i weighed my TE37s a while back.... on my bathroom scale

19x8.5 Volk TE37 +22 offset: 19.2 pounds error: +/- 0.5 lb
19x9.5 Volk TE37 +22 offset: 20.0 pounds error: +/- 0.5 lb
19x10.5 Volk TE37 +22 offset: 21.5 pounds error: +/- 0.5 lb

 

Considering that it's a 2 piece wheel with a reverse lip, I'd say it's slightly lighter than your other average 19 inch 2 piece wheel out on the market. In addition to that, you get a T6061 forged aluminum barrel using RAYS famous forging technology which is unmatchable by any wheel company out there. Here's a picture of a rear GTS. in 19x10.5 +18.

 

My Volk LE's were about 21 lbs (19 x 10.5).

wow didnt know the LE/TE's weigh that little. Good to know they did seem a lot lighter everytime I switch over from my iforged and back.
