yeah i went with 255/35 and 295/30 and they look great. Def happy i didnt go with 275 that would looked like garbage

 

just got some off ebay (2) 275/35/19 for 400 shipped can't beat that for a great tire

I picked up a pair of the Vredestein's for my rear stockies a couple days ago. I have put about 200 miles on them and I must say...they aren't bad at all!!! The performance from what I have observed thus far for the value is incredible!!!

Now I jus need to abuse them a lil and see how far I can take these babies..

 

where is the cheapest place to get a set of these? I bough a set 10 months ago for 670 shipped to my door. 245/35/20 and 275/35/20

 

I see the RE-050's were mentioned earlier, but I'm wondering if anyone has had RE-050 pole positions to compare these to. I have some currently and think I'll try something else next time around.

As a member of another forum who SportCompactOnly sponsor I cant order these at 777.92 with a 5% discount to my door, compared to the the 1250.00 + I was going to be paying for the Toyo's.

Interestingly enough: Someone educate me about why you would run a 295/30/19 (19 x 9.5 wheel) instead of a 275/35/19? This is my first time with staggered fitment and also buying tires for my Z.

anyone have these tires long enough to know how the treadlife is?

 

I have had them about 6 months and am almost half way thru the tread depth so I estimate I'll get about 1 year or 15,000 miles out of them and that is with a couple of track days thrown in.

 

Still don't get why they don't come in 295/35/19. Anybody know if they'll make some? I do not want to run 35front/30rear nor 30f/r (don't think they offer 255/30 anyways.

 

I'm also frustrated by the sizing. They need to start making 285/35/19 for all of us 19x10.5 wheel guys!

 

If I were running a 19x10.5 I would be running a 295/30/19?????

 

Yeah I am considering that actually, now that I read that the Vredesteins seem to be skinnier in general than the same widths by other manufacturers. My other option is to go with Toyo T1R 285/35/19, but I am currently using Toyos and would like to try something different.

The other issue is fender rolling, which looks inevitable with either a 285 or 295 width on a +22 offset 19" wheel. I am thinking that with the 295/30 it will be inevitable.

EDIT: Does anyone happen to have a side by side comparison of a toyo T1R 285/35/19 and Vredestein 295/30/19?

EDIT#2: I'm currently running 275/35/19's which theoretically is 26.6" outer diameter, and a 295/30/19 tire would be a hair under 26.0" diameter. I already have more than enough wheel gap in the rear considering I am dropped on hotchkis springs, so I think 295/30 is going to make my car look jacked. Looks like I'll stick with the Toyo's!

 

I run 295/30/19 in the rear and 255/35/19 in the front and its worked out great! I have had them since the beginning of this thread and still have 80%+ thread left.

 

Whats the handling like? I was thinking about going this route when ordering these tires, but the 40mm tread width difference between the front and rear leads me to believe it would induce alot more understeer.

Here is an update to how these tires perform on the track. The first time I tracked these tires they only had a couple thousand miles on them and they sucked. Now with over 10,000 mi and almost half the tread gone I thought they would be better. Not so. These tires are just not soft enough to grip well. If you own these tires you will notice they have a shoulder at half the tread depth(not a wear bar) that supports the tread from deflecting. I had about 1/16" of tread left before reaching this shoulder area of the tire and was sure the tread would wear down to that point with a track day at CA Speedway but at the end of the day with almost 50 laps on them the tires showed no wear at all.

 

bah i'm back in this thread, still haven't gotten these tires because i don't need them yet *cry*
but i was doing the tire aspect ratio whatever calculations...
oem: 225/45-18 front and 245/45-18 rear gives a .9734 ratio... (do i have the correct OEM sizes for an 06 touring?)
so, if i want to get NEAR to the OEM ratio, one of the closest calculations i could figure out was with 275/30-19 front and 295/30-19, which gives it a .9818 ratio. does this sound decent to all you tire junkies out there? i definitely want 295s in the back... what other sizes in the front could i get to minimize steering/suspension issues? thanks guys <3

 

wait ok here's another option.. 275/35-19 and 295/35-19, ratio = .9796 which is closer to OEM. i think some of you run this setup.
