Vredestein Sessanta Tire Review
i seriously want to try these tires but i dont believe they make them in 275/40/18 cant find it anywhere think its ok to run a 275/35/18 instead. i have 245/40/18 up front right now.
After pulling my tires off and giong with a different setup, I came to realize that a lot of this review is false. The footprint on this tire is a lot narrower than a KDW 295, Nitto 295, as well as a PS2. I am not sure where the idea that they have a wide footprint comes from (.5 - 1" narrower on some).
I am not sure on NA cars, but on a boosted car this is how they are wearing after 1700 miles. The water channels will normally wear down and sort of round off. These literally chunked pieces of rubber (nice). That would be due to power, but the OP was boosted and making decent power. In the end these are probably an ok tire for the value, but no where near what I would label a "high performance" tire. I would put these on the same playing field as a T1r for performance and leave it at that. Nothing to see here....

He had 255/295s IIRC. Swapped to NT05s but he hasn't driven on them yet to review. He was just noticing the width difference.
My review is solely based from a performance aspect. I would not hesitate to put these on a car i didn't plan on driving hard, and some people may have a better experience with them. To me they never got sticky (another person reviewed them this way based on his experience with the track).
I was running 255/35/19 and 295/30/19
This does not set off the VDC and i think has a nice look to them (not that that should matter really).
Anyone want to start a petition for 285/35-19 tires??
Seriously though, if Vredenstein keeps increasing their market perhaps they'd be willing to make that perfect size for the rears...

295/30 is too far off from my stock 245/40 for me. Not something I want to do, 285/35 is literally the perfect size. Tis all.

Haha, I know, my winter wheels/tires are stock G-coupe 17s but still off from my stock 19" Rays by about 1.5-2%, and that's my limit I feel.
I love MiataCalc...and 295/30 is 2.8% off from stock and that's too far for me. Plus I don't know how many G guys have run 295 out back, but I know quite a few with 285/35 that looks good and fits very well. Just hoping for optimal I guess.

I had an interesting comment from an instructor who drove my car. He said it felt like the car had more grip turning right than left, and truly, my rear grip (I only have vreds in the rear) wasn't that great turning right, and the loading on the tire is perpendicular to the treads when turning right, and parallel when turning left.
I don't know if that would truly make a difference, but he gave me a lot of crap for the tires and kept telling me they were garbage (although on the street I'd had opposite opinion to this point).
