Just do gloss black with pol lips or at least silver lips. Red lips are pplllaaayyyeeeddd out. *** time attack, it's lame. imo of course.

don't paint it TA style, just do matte black. don't even think about painting the lip a different color. RPF1s have a thick lip to begin with making the wheel look smaller then it really is. so just go one color.

If I wanted black wheels I would buy black wheels. But that’s just me.

I am a big fan of the RPF1. I bought a set that was powdercoated black for my Z and currently run them in silver on my S2000. r_seng is right about the thick lip, it's hard to make it look good with the lip a different color. Honestly I'd leave them silver as I am not a fan of the all black look. Here is a pic of them on my Z though:

That was 18 x 8.5 +30 front, 9.5 +15 rear. If I did it again, I would run the 9.5 +15 front and 10.5 +15 rear. Suspension is Tein Basics, the rear was lowered a little more after that pic.

I think that would look good. It has a stepped lip so you have 3 choices.

Paint the entire lip section red (~2"), leaving just the spokes black.
Paint the outer lip red, leaving the inner "lip" and spokes black.
Pinstripe just the outer wheel bead red.

IMO option 3 is the best. #1 would be a lot of red and make the spokes seem smaller than they already are. #2 might be decent but there is no natural line there to follow and there would be a seam between the 2 different colors. #3 is more subtle but would put some visual separation between the wheel and tire. Good luck with whatever route you go, but I would at least put them on the car first to see how you like the silver.

nice. I'm running 18x10.5 +15 all around. I'm about to install 15mm spacers on the rear to push them out more.
