wow...FTW..wow
-low offsets push the rim outwards
-increase in width will fill up the fenderwell

(for the noobs to understand wheels better)

yes they'll fit, it all depends on whether or not you're willing to pull fenders some and how low you are. A 275 or 285/30 would fit fine, you would just have a lot of camber.

Oh, and dont listen to all the people who buy 18x8.5s front and rear because they dont 'need any more tire'. *** em, put em on and let the haters hate.

Why bother? If you are going to run a 255 or 265, buy the proper width (8-9") wheel. This stretch-the-tire crap is just silly.

it's all personal taste. I think your 8-9" wheel is weak. I like having a wide wheel and stretching a little. As been discussed many times, stretching a tire does have actual benefits and purpose. It's not for drag racing but it does serve a purpose.

...the purpose of looks. Stretching *slightly* like a 255 on a 9:" serves benefits of less tire rollover, but a 255 on a 10" is just silly.

I don't think so. Many race teams use a the same stretch or a little more stretch than a 255 on a 10. And a 255 on a 9 is not stretched at all.

Provide examples or

Don't justify your own stupidity with false claims.

My 'race car' has 275 rubber on 7" wide rims. Exact opposite. We need more rubber.

NISMO R1 with 10.5 rear and 265/35/18.
Autech Tsukada with 9.5 +15 and 9.5 +15 with 225/40/17.
Power House Amuser with 10.5 +22 and +18 with 265/35/18
Yashio Factory with 10 +15 all around with 265/35/18
Sunline racing with x10.5 +16 all around with 265/35/18

I can find some more for you. I'll try to post some pics too. I'll even get some more people to chime in if you'd like.

overZealous1,
I have 11's +28 with 305's and can't imagine 335 on 12's +25 not rubbing on the shocks, inner fenders and sticking out beyond pulled fenders, do you have any pics or links to 335's on 12's?

Do you have any pic of your set up on your car? I'd like to see that.

Hideous.

Race teams that run, at the least, an actual sprint race, would not run stretched tires at all.

Quick Reply: 12 inch wide rims..mmm : )
