Can I change my tire size : 225 to 275 (OEM 18 '' wheels)

I run 245/40R18 front and 275/40R18 rear on my track 18x8/18x8.5 wheels. The 245s on the front are very square, and look a lot better than the 225s on the front. The 275s are a bit wide for the rear wheels, but actually don't look that bad -- and actually work very well.

Anyway, IMO you can safely run 265/40/18 on your 8.5" rears and as I said 245/40/18 in front. I would go no bigger than 265s in back. Again, IMHO, 275 is just too wide a cross section.Lou

Larger tires on the back are alway nice but the 275's on your OEM wheels are
at least an inch too narrow. If you want to run that size tire go with quality
aftermarket wheels.......HRE....Works....Volks!

Here we go again . . .
The ideal setup for OP's ZR with stock suspension and OEM staggered rim sizes is 255/40/18 in front & 275/40/18 in rear. Without going to a "square setup" on all four corners, this is as close to getting a neutral & balanced handling as you're going to get (20mm difference between front/rear instead of 30mm difference with 245/275 setup). In addition to the performance gains of this setup, OP will be able to fill-in the large fender gap inherent on stock suspension (thus, the bonus aesthetic feature with these tire sizes).

The common size there is 265/35, which is obviously too short. Next size up is 275/40.
The only challenge I have with the 275/40s is the people who say that they are "too wide" without actually looking at them -- and the way that tires have fit almost every other car.
