Looking at the Sumitomo HTR Z III for the Z. I'm looking for a tire that is under $200 a pop, does not have a noise factor that equals the Brdgsts OEM's and also have decent performance in the wet and dry. Reading Tire rack, consumers (who own sports cars as similar as possible to the Z) say all positive things about the them. Any one out there with these tires or an opinion on them please reply.

This may be an old subject, but...

I just got around to replacing the Bridgestones on my 2003 touring with Michelin Pilot's. Now the tire roar of old is louder than ever! Do I have undo the alignment "correction" that Nissan did a couple of years ago during their warranty extension? It sounds like it is primarily coming from the front passenger tire.

Any help would be appreciated!

p.s. the tire dealer has a replacement tire on order just in case it is a "bad" tire.

Actually, I was just at Firestone checking them out. I'm deciding btwn them and the "Vredestein". The price for 4 stock Pole Positions was quoted just a little over $1,000 inside tape weights, balance complete.

I purchased them about a month ago. Excellent wet handling, and very good dry handling. This is judging from two track events, and time on a wet skid pad.

Great tire!

RunFlats are overrated...

RE050A Pole Positions are my choice.

Been through RE040s, RE050s, and Nitto 555s... They were complete sh*t compared to the RE050A PP's.

General Exclaims. $450 for the 4 and rated #1 on TireRack. 500 miles on mine. Low noise and good response for a daily driver. Big diif in the Potenza's and a no brainer on price.

According to CR, the top three are: 1. Dunlop. 2. Michelin. 3. Falken. Draw your own conclusions, dude.
