Default AXIS Wheels, Tire Suggestions... Please!!!!!

Hey guys,

I'm in the process of getting a set of AXIS Hiro Rims..

The specs are:

Front - 19" x 8.5"
Rear - 19 x 10.5"

I have VDC and TCS.

I'm dropped on as set of Tanabe NF210's(1.2" all round).

I'm thinking about going with the following tire sizes:

FRONT - 245 / 40 / 19
REAR - 275 / 35 / 19

Do you guys think this tire setup should be ok. I don't want to roll my fenders.

Or should I go with

FRONT - 245 / 35 /19
REAR - 285 / 35 /19

Any advise.... I'm more into looks, the car doesn't see the track or the D strip.

Thanks,
SilverZed

This is your best option for that setup:
FRONT - 245 / 35 /19
REAR - 285 / 35 /19

However I would recommend 19x9.5 front instead with 255 / 35 /19 tire.

With the following setup, the rear tires would be 1/4" bigger diameter than your fronts. I don't know if that 1/4 larger diameter is enough to keep the slip light happy or not.

245/35/19

295/30/19

I have the same setup on mine except I have 305/30's on the rear. The 305's are a tad too wide for my taste, so i will be going to a 295/30 next, but I dont have to worry about any slip lights.

With the 245/35 and 295/30's on your 8.5 and 10.5 wheels, your sidewalls will be perfect front and rear, unless you're one of those types that likes to stretch the crap outta yer tires:-)

Thanks for the help guys....

I think I'm going to go with:

FRONT - 245 / 35 /19
REAR - 285 / 35 /19

I haven't got the option to change the front rims to 9.5". I had to have the Hiro's custom ordered from the states because no body stock's these rims here in AUS anymore..

Not what I would do but hopefully you won't get a ton of understeer with that setup. Good luck

245/35/19
275/35/19

there is big chance of being rubed in rear with 285/35 if your fender is nor rolled.

^ Thanks for the heads up... I saw those posts before. But I'm sure(Hope) they are have fixed their mistakes.

As for the order... I just got the wheels with:

Front - 245 - 35 - 19
Rear - 275 - 35 - 19

I haven't seen much difference in handling and the rear looks ok, I shouldn't need to roll my guards. I still have to get a alignment and I will post some pic's.

Thanks for all the help guys...
