Default Powdercoated Track Wheels

I have the 18 inch Rayslight Track Wheels powdercoated gunmetal, now the previous owner had them powdercoated so I would say they've been powdercoated for about 4 years, has anyone ever had powdercoating start coming off? Like big flakes of it are just coming off?

I would tend to say thats not right. I've had powdercoated wheels, and we powdercoat TONS of crap at work for machine parts. It's really a pretty strong bond. You sure they werent just painted? thats what it sounds like.

yeah, they are probably just painted. One way to tell..not saying to do this, but take a hammer and start hitting it. Powdercoat is very chip resistant. One thing i hate, a lot of people always say things on their car is "powdercoated" but they don't know that powdercoat and spray paint is two different things.

It's sadly is powdercoated, I found out what happened, and now I gotta find a new powdercoater. Basically one of my friends from work mounted new tires on my wheels and our tire machine at work is a butcher, it can touch the wheels, it just ripped through my powdercoat around the edges
