Check Out The Pictures Of The Wheels From R1 Racing
I agree it's a plug but lots of people are happier paying 1/4th the price for knock-offs... just check out any of our mod sections. Again.. each person is different. All companies got their start somewhere.. today's Axis coud be tomorrow's Volk.. never know until people buy and report back.
axis also had some quality and (cough) strength problems. and they will never be a Volk

Sorry to disappoint you but that is my car.
If you look closely they are Racing Harts RS-721(19x9,19x105) not R1's.

well...yes, that yellow g35 is mine. thought is was implied when I mentioned the BBK and clearance.
i never said wheel weight is not noticeable. I said it is irrelevant for a street driven car. i will agree that wheel weight is noticeable in terms of acceleration/braking (i went from 26 lbs Volk GT-7 to 19 lbs Volk RE30s), but not significant for your avg joe driving to/from work/school. the difference between a 26 lb forged/cast 19" Volk GT-7 wheel and 32 lb R-1 Hype 20" wheel is small.
and yes, i have had both. and yes, a 19x10.5" Volk GT-7 weighs in at 26-27 lbs. I'm only guestimating the wheel weight of the R1s based on a lift comparison. The GT-7s were actually weighed on a bathroom scale.
and if you are trying to imply I am a moron...well, i'll try to keep this civilized and not resort to name calling.
you say they are cheap, ghetto looking wheels, but yet they are exact knockoffs. would that imply that the "original" mfg wheels are also ghetto looking? just a comment, cause at the end of the day, cheap/ghetto is a statement of your opinion.
your posts do seem as though you are preaching from a soap box, but if you say you are not...how can i argue?
the avg joe buys wheels that are within their budgets and within their needs. how can you come in and call someone out who cannot afford $3200 Volk RE30s, but want to rock aftermarket wheels that come in a hair over $1000? that's a huge price difference.
how many wheels from R1 have cracked or showed damage as a result of their mfg process? How many Rays?
I don't know of a single one.
If spending $2500-$5000 on a set of forged wheels gives you the peace of mind that they are built of the highest quality, than awesome. But understand that there is market for lower priced wheels, and these companies simply fill that niche.
anyways, thx for the entertainment. it's always appreciated.

waiting for motormouth to come back and pick out a statement from the above post to contest or misconstrue.
maybe a spelling error or incorrect grammar somewhere in there?
don't disappoint me
