Exclamation Best Dry traction, but not DOT semi-slick

OK... Dont link me to the damm tire rack customers survey rating page...its almost worthless with so many different reviews and biasness, so ill focus on my needs. I am hoping to get opinions from people that have actually tried differen types of high-end tires... so if somebody says kdws but he upgraded from proxes4, that doesnt count.
Looking for a tire that comes in either 295 or 305 19s and has the best Dry traction, and IT CAN NOT be a dot semi slick like the r888....also i dont care about noise.

Some options i am considering:

KWDs
PS2
Pzero
re050a............I
Advan Sport
INVO

Hate to say it... but that pretty much sums it up. All you'll get are personal opinions which can be biased. Then, everyone's opinions will clash and you'll have gotten nowhere with your question.

Regardless, I have RE050A PolePositions, and I'm very happy with them. They give all the dry/wet traction I need.

I was going to say the KDs too.

Try the RE-01Rs, but you're limited to 275s with that tire.

If you have to have 295s or 305s then that narrows down your choices a good deal.

PS2s are one of the best all-around tires, but for dry traction, I'd take the advan sports, re-o1rs and a few others over it.

Just because I have the Dunlops now doesn't mean and I never owned PS2s
These Dunlops came as a package when I bought my wheels used. As soon as I have the cash I'm swapping them out for the PS2s again.
After running the PS2s, I can never go back to any other street tires.

BTW Sport Max don't even come close to PS2s.

Bridgestone RE-01Rs will match or better PS2s in dry traction actually. Once the rain hits however it gets a bit frisky.
Since you're only concerned with dry traction, you can't go wrong with either PS2s or RE-01Rs. But for me, PS2s all the way.

The tire sizes you want really limit your options.

The tires I run / have ran for autocrossing don't even come in 19's, (Azenis 615, Kumho MX's) But my brother has tried a lot of different tires at the track. (MX's, 615's, Hankook RS-2's etc.)

He recently switched to the RE-01's and says they are the best tires he's tried yet. We just changed the second half of our test and tune course, so we don't have hard numbers to compare. But he is able to keep his foot to the floor in one particular turn that he always had to back off a bitt when using the Falken 615's. (-On the unchanged part of the track)

They only come in 275, but they might be worth a try if they will fit your wheels.

EDIT: you must have posted your post while I was typing... Oh well. Good luck with your search.

ill be pushing a custom powerlab turbo kit... with either a 76S or better turbo kit...going for a lot of HP so i am looking for something that has good traction FI for my lowboost daily driving...275 will be small ..plus yeah its small on a 10.5 rim... yes it does limit my options...thats why its a selective group of people that truly will be able to post their opinion on this topic...

The new Dunlop sport Z1s should have great dry traction....but those only come in 18s too.

There are Max Performance tires like the PS2s then there are Extreme Performance tires which should give even better performance. Most of these extreme performance tires are limited to 18s though.

Man, I'd hate to see the price of some 305/19 PS2s.
