how about this. if you know anything about 20s on a Z, and have input on good tire sizes and offsets, please post. if you are just going to hate, dont post.
lol if we dont know about 20"s?

everyone knows, and everyone knows it looks rediculous. are your wheels chrome? my guess is they are and a 20x8.5 all around or something.

20's look to big on a Z. Look good on G's and BMW's tho. Btw, I have track 18's. And do track.

I had 20’s on my ZR for a minute. They looked great; with the correct tires they fill in the gaps and give the car a more tucked appearance, without lowering it. However there was a noticeable performance loss across the board. Straight line stability at speed, cornering and acceleration all suffered. Had I decided to go the VIP route and focus on the esthetics of the car I would have run them. With my performance build I opted for 19’s for obvious reasons.

I sold the 20’s to a girl friend of mine. We installed them yesterday on her 04 automatic… they looked fantastic. She has no desire to “race” let alone run the car hard. She will never notice the performance loss, and is completely ecstatic.

Furthermore … some people that are new to this forum are asking “YOU” the people that supposedly have a little more knowledge, to share it. Don’t be a D**K if you have the opportunity to help someone out!

And yes they were chrome

Unless you are trying to fit a huge BBK on your Z, 20" wheels are all show. If you like the look and don't mind taking some of the performance out of your high-performance car, go for it.

The reason for most of the "hating on the 20's" is because most people try not to make their cars slower. Again it's your car and the only priorities that matter, with respect to your car, are your priorities.

i am really curious why guys that don't have/don't want to run 20's think that guys that have 20's give a rats azz how others feel about them. don't see anyone going into a 18 or 19" thread and saying how i could not stand to run those.
if all you guys are so concerned with the all out performance, why not loose your interior, and all the other things that add weight to hold you back from that super car performance i'm sure some of you guys drive your car to on a daily basis?
i think 17,18, and 19" are too small for this car. so put that in your pipe and smoke it! but then again, your opinion does not matter to me anyways. glad i can think for myself and decide the rims i like, hahhaa.
btw- i'm running work rezax 2's in 20x9 and 20x11 custom finished black and brushed alum. 245f 305 r.

I can't speak for others, but BSP (the class I autocross in) won't allow you to "gut" the car.

As I said above, it's the OP's car so the OP's priorities are all that matter. But people that put 20's on their car, (that don't need massive BBK clearance) are putting performance lower on their priority list.

It's not a crime or anything, just personal preferences.

I like the way 20" Lowenhart BS5s look on a LeMans Z, but I don't think the ride would be that great. 18" or 19" would be better.
