Yea I am working on it. Didn't expect these to die this quick though.

VDC isn't a problem since I don't have it.

Thanks Red and others. I will keep researching this. Now I know what sizes I need to look at.

This is what I am thinking, see if you guys agree.

275x35x18 for the fronts on my stock 18x9

and 295x30x19s on my 19x10s rear.

They don't have 285 for the rear so I am left with this size. do you think it will look weird or anything? I want it to keep the profile almost the same as the stock. The fronts are pretty close.

Stock is 245x40x18s and 265x35x19s

I think that would be the most aggressive fitment I would try (295/275). I imagine it will be a tight fit on the fronts, the rears *might* need to be rolled. My car is slightly lower than stock on the aftermarket Nismo suspension + I trimmed the upper spring rubber so I imagine it is close to or slightly lower than the Nismo Z. I am planning on trying a 285/255 setup. I know this has been run before (earlier in thread). Based on other peoples offsets I dont think the 295 would be a problem just might rub the fender. Might want to think about a 295/265 setup. The other thing to remember is tire width is dependent on the manufacturer, and you can find very noticeable differences in tire width even for similar sizes by the same manufacturer (i.e. see thread comparing RE050A vs RE050PP).

As for tires, I am pretty happy with the RE050A's. Much better than the 040's I had on my 2003 Z. I have also thought about the Advans and the PS2's, though the Bridgestones seem to be a good buy in comparison.

Let us know what you come up with. If I need to replace my tires soon, I'll let you know what I end up with!

My car actually sits a little higher than the NISMO suspension S-Tune you can purchase. Decisions too hard to figure out!

I've had the F1 GS-D3s in a different car and thought they were good, but consider the pole positions and PS2s to be better all-around, expect in the wet.

Other than the PS2s and pole positions, I'd consider the advan sports and RE-01Rs. The pole positions should be some of the cheapest out of the four, but it still offers some of the best performance. As far as tire wear, they should all wear roughly the same. In the max performance tire category, the continental contisport 2s or 3s should offer superior tire life, but will likely be lacking in performance.

I had an '06 track, which have 18/19s like the Nismo, and up-sized to 255/275. You can go larger than 275s, but with stock power, it's unnecessary and just for looks. Other members have gone 285s without problems, but any larger than that might rub. I think the 255s up front made the biggest difference as far as performance, but the sidewall was a bit too thick/wide for my liking.
I was just looking at upgrading to the pole postions tire also. How do you like yours personally? Would you consider the same tires, when the tread on these are worn?

I actually don't have that car anymore, but put about 15K miles on those tires and was very pleased with them. I would definitely buy them again, but I'm curious about other tires, so I would probably try something else just to try them.

The Vredstein tires have a tread wear rating of 300 compared to a tread wear rating of 140 on your OEM Bridgestones. They should last a really long time and the price is right.I personally went with Bridgestone RE-01Rs,genuine contenders for the absolute best handling street tire in the world and OEM on Japanese versions of the Nismo Z.265/35 fronts and 275/30 rears fit the stock rims perfectly, there are no clearance issues and the car handles as if it were on rails. And yeah they have a better tread wear rating at 180 than the 050As.I guess that Nissan couldn't use them as OEM here because they are not suitable for use in sub freezing tempurtures[not an issue in San Antonio].

Whitt, do you have any pics with the 265s up front? And how did you go about choosing 275/30 over 275/35?

Oh and tread ratings are difficult to compare across brands as each manufacture rates their tires differently.

The Vredstein actually beat the Bridgestones in the tests. So for the price I am strongly considering those.

I second that.

Proper setup that will fit the NISMO is 275x35 and 295x30 rear. This is closer to the factory specs than 265 is. This is what I will get.

Yes, you can go 275 on the front as well, but that may be overkill and cause the steering to be excessively heavy. I still stick by the 265 size, good compromise between performance and practicality

Would love to see pics when you get them on, if you wouldn't mind posting them up here.

I have a '06 Track, and I will be ready for my next set of tires shortly. Already replaced the rears once, $750 for stock replacements. Ouch! Fronts are ready this time, too.

What kind of tires did you decide on?

Undecided yet...but I know the sizes I want. KDW doesn't have the 295x30 they have 35's. Grrr! So I might be going with the Vred ones. I have a road race tomorrow which will probably end the life of my stock re050s which are down to the wear bars pretty much. One has a sloooow leak like 5-10psi every 2-3 weeks. So it's about time.

Just curious if you ever picked a set of tires and sizes. Am looking at either 265/275 or 275/295 combo of the vreds for my car and am worried the fronts won't fit inside the wheel well right.
