You can try to wetsand them then Polish them...did it with my 5zigen Hyper 5zr's and made them look brand new...then hit them up with polish regularly and waxed the lips every wash which kept them that way

^ NO!

this is a common problem with the volk rims, you have to get the rim refinished by a rays dealer. nothing you can do the clear that they place on the lip to give that awesome shine is like any clear getting old and needs to be redone... $100 or so to do the lip.

Have them professionally redone

What do you guys think a professional shop is going to do? Strip the anodizing(either by sanding or an abrasive compound) and then polish

I have the same problem, I think this winter I'm going to strip the finish off and have them powder coated clear. The clear coat on these Volks is crap IMO.

You can't powdercoat the volk lips in their present state, its too smooth. That is why they aren't powdercoated to start with, and are instead anodized. You have to have a rougher machined finish like the lips on the LE's to powdercoat them, but then you lose the high polish associated with those lips. Works, SSR's etc are all anodized just like the volks

+1. The wheels should be “reconditioned” by a pro. Check the regional forum for recommendations.

You'll just have to get them professionally repolished. Since they're anodized, if you do one you have to do them all to match.
