Default Tilted Rear Right Tire After Mount *ADVICE*

I got new tires for the Z, brought it to a small shop to have the tires mounted quick and cheap rather than wait 3 hours at Sams/Walmart/or NTB. After they mounted the tires and put them back on I could hear a thumping noise as slow speed. After getting out to inspect I saw that the left rear was fine and the right rear was tilted. I checked the lugs and ran my hand against the hub to see if it was sitting correctly. It checked out, but it is dark outside. I have to check again in the morning.

Could this be caused by a suspension issue?

I am aware that improper balancing leads to thumping but, when you stand behind the car it is clear that the wheel is titled. See diagram below.

Please throw in any ideas/suggestions you may have, I plan on bringing it to another place close to my house to get it checked out and repaired if necessary.

Well I know the back tires are supposed to have negative camber, which means they are supposed to be tilted towards the inside. When I first bought my car, I hit some gravel and hit a curb on my right side. The right rear tire was straight up and down, and the other had the camber it was supposed to have.

I may be wrong about the camber in the back now that I think of it...either way, definitely get it checked out. If you don't have a suspension problem now, you will from driving like that.

Try getting an alignment. I noticed a lot less noise when I went from -3.7 to -1

Replacing wheels and tires does not alter alignment.

To verify alignment, looking at the car is a poor method.

I would be interested in the diagnosis.

Roll the car foward or backwards 24 inches and then check the lean again. If the camber changes then the wheel is not seated on the hub correctly.

^+1 Regardless, jack the car up and unmount the tire to make sure the shop installed it correctly. I suspect the rim is not seated correctly on the hub and/or the installer did not torque the lugnuts correctly (not tight enough).

im feeling a slight pull and around tight turns it the slip light flashes and it applies brake to the right rear tire causing the feeling of instability. They are brand new tires and I dont see why there would be any slip at regular speeds on dry pavement? I didnt have this problem with my old tires, and they were nearly without any tread.

after bringing it to the dealer they told me my alignment was ****ed...fixed it, the camber, and toe on the front and rear. Rides a lot better but Im still getting VDC to turn on around corners, now at higher speeds than before the fix.

Could this be because I have new rear tires and old front tires from a different manufacturer?

Im picking up some new fronts asap to see if it helps...

If the tires are from different manufacturers they probably have different thread patterns. This can cause a pulling to one side ; especially if the tires are diff left vs right side as opposed to front two tires are diff from rear two tires. Either way I think it's always best to replace a tire with a direct replacement .....when possible.
