Not sure on the specific make of the locking lug nuts, I would have had them put on by the place where that put the rims on the car. They were still able to pound the socket over them and remove them though from what I can tell.

It is not really a big deal to get new wheels it is the time wasted in doing it for me. I rarely get down to my place as it is so it is kind of irritateing to have to put up with all the effort to get this taken care of.

THANX

again

Sounds like someone you know stole it (i could be wrong though)...who's into imports. IF i were the crook and you own a 4 car garage (assuming it's a very nice house) I would've taken goodies in your house other than some fcking rims.

Sorry for your loss....yea, wheel lock don't do $h!t (but it does slow down the process)...if they want it, they'll find a way.

Wheel locks don't work. They have a socket you hammer on to the lug with about 1,000,039 teeth that grabs the lug nut.

Locks? I think not!

Hey JETPILOT I have a whole set of these darn sockets now!!!!

Pretty nice ones too and one of the Snap On break and enter sets too with the specially bent coat hangers and all!!!

When it comes to someone I know I have about 5 other physicians who are friends of mine should I head over to their place when I get in town and check them out?

So, this basically tells us, that those "locks" that they sell on the market aren't really "locks", and are just a different pattern than the basic lug?

You could buy some cheaper 18's, like Rotas, but it would cost around the same price as replacing the volks.

Won't insurance cover the stolen wheels?
agreed

Yea like others mentioned wheel locks are worthless when it comes down to professional theives. Those locks only stop your neighborhood thugs. I have set of tools that can take off any wheel locks thats on the market.
$hit happens everyday, you were just one of the unlucky ones. Claim it through yoru insurance and just hope it dont happen again.

Sorry for your loss, bro. Here is an idea, however. Go ahead and buy volk or whatever locks and then buy a set of 4 different locks so at least that will slow them down a little. (so this means you will have 4 volk locks and 1 different lock per wheel) Also, get yourself an alarm with shock sensors. you can bet your *** the alarm will go off next time someone is jacking up your car. These will be a little on the expensive side, however, it will protect your investment. Check out the Viper 5002 system. It works wonders.

hoenstly, i think u'd be better of buying 2 volks then spending 2k on some cheap *** rims that will probably break in half after it hits a pothole...and then having to replace those...

+1 Well put.
