Ive had 5 sets of rear tires, stock, Yokahama EVS 100, S-03's, 2 diff sets of Falken's , Eagle F1's. The KDW2 last the longest and are the best overall tires. Im running them again here shortly.

2 years ago, I got one that was out of round. Confirmed on Hunter Roadforce, wheels ok based on runout specs.

and last week, one of my new front beads did not seal properly (leaked 5lbs a day) and had to dismount and have some black goo to help it. But, that was attributed to mounting and initial driving on a very cold day, well below 50F where the tire really had no businesses being out in..

I have them on my RE30s 245/35/19 and 275/35/19. They are bit a stretched on my car, so I think next time I will go bigger. As far as I can tell, they aren't really much louder than my stock. Yes, you do notice a difference, but for the performance per dollar they are great (In warmer temperatures)

I also made a mistake trying to drive these up a snowing mountain pass to make a HPDE event. Of course I didn't get a forecast for that area and assumed it would be dry. Anyway, bad idea. I ended up getting stuck when the gradient got too steep and got stuck until someone stopped to help push the front of my car in a reverse turn just to get me turned around. Then it was hell driving back down. It took me 2 hrs at 5-10 mph to make it down the mountain passes.

If you can get these at a good price, I would high recommend them.

I know this is an old thread but I have a question about these tires and didn't want to start another thread. Can anybody tell me about the sidewall on the KDW2's? Is it pretty flat, or rounded on top? I'm trying to find out because I want to know if I can fit 295's on my car. Thanks!

And for you tire pro's....here's my situation:

I'm getting new wheels soon which are 19x11" in the rear with a 23 offset. I'm lowered about 1.4-1.5 inches and my fenders are rolled. Can I fit a 295/35/19 in the rear?

I ran the stock and the potenzas, the stocks were terrible and got rid of them quick. compared the potenza in my opinion they definately stick better and i've gotten the most life out of them. Good in the wet weather too, not so great when it gets cold if you live where there is cold weather. Didnt find them to be loud for me, definately looking to run them again. Best bang for the buck imo.

I'm not sure, but I don't think so. you'd probably have to add some neg. camber. I run a 19x11" et25 rear wheel with a 285/35/19 tire, fenders rolled and less of a drop and I don't get any rubbing issues and not much of a stretch. Let me know if you can, cause I'd love to run a 295 on the rear wheels.

slightly louder, but better treadwear and traction than OEM and S3 Pole Position.

quoting myself to retract my statement. After these tires wear a little about 8k miles or so. They are loud!!!

I cant wait for these to give out so i can buy new tires. My car noise at 75 mph not too windy windows up is at 95db's. Thats enough to cause hearing loss lol. Its insane i loved these for about 8k miles but now i cant wait to get rid of them.

Great tires.. I had some shity kumho tires on before and the g-force kdw is a hell of a better tire.. Can't say are loud yet. They are deff louder than any other tire but they are awesome for traction during warm weather and during wet conditions. They don't grip very well in cold weather though. Can't wait for summer to really see how they work

they are good tires, id say compared to T1R they are slightly louder but provide better traction.

The KDW is a dry and wet tire, and they are not lying, the wet traction is very good and the treadwear awesome.

I had Hankook Ventus R-S2 (Z212) and Bridgestone Potenza RE050A tires in the past. The KDW has a better dry traction than the Potenza but not better dry traction than the Z212.

I drive my car whatever the weather is and this tire is good for me because of that. If I was not driving my car in the rain half of the summer I would not buy this tire, I would go with a true perfromance.

The KDW is one of the best compromise tire between treadwear and traction.

i sell these tires night and day, overall top quality tire.

to the person asking a question about teh side wall, they are rounded.

you wont fit a 295 on the back end especially if your lowered with your current offset. You will have to add some negative camber or it probably won't work. Good luck with things.

I agree with you. Did you find that the sidewalls on the Z212's are way too soft and are probably the only downfall for that tire?

Running them on OEM stock rims 18", have 26k miles on them, starting to cup on the rears inner tread. Camber at -0.07 - 0.08 fr & rr. When new they were slightly noisier than OEM's. As they reached there UTQG wear at 26,600 miles they got a lot louder.
