Internet troubleshooting is often fruitless. The information that we have is second-hand. Who knows what the problem is. The original lug bolts must be pressed from the hub and replaced with the extended lug bolts correct? Maybe that's the problem. Is the brake rotor coming off? I don't know.

Pics would also help. Remove the tire and take a picture. Then put on the spacer and take a picture of the gap. This would help everyone see what you are talking about.

20mm ichiba spacers have extended studs and take about 1/2 hour per side in my driveway without air tools. Yes the rotors have to come off, and the parking brake shoes have to come off in the rear to fit the extended studs in place.

never listen to what shops say.
i had a shop tell me that if i install my sound system myself, i could catch my car on fire.
i was 16 and like "woah for real?" but i still did it myself with no experience and what do you know, my car never caught on fire and i saved myself money..

all shops say "this is hard, that is hard" they need to make money.

you gotta pull off the callipers and stuff. I think the 20mm spacer requires longer studs.

If you go to his link in the original post, those spacers have 10 holes drilled into them. If you had to replace the studs, wouldn't the spacers just have 5 holes? I was under the impression that you bolt these to the existing studs, and then use the provided studs fasten the wheels on.

It's not that hard... If you really don't want to do it yourself, go find a mod friendly shop then, sounds like you're going to a "Uncle Joe's Autoshop..."

To clarify some replies:

- Ichiiba Spacers DO NOT come premade with bolts inserted to the spacer (you have to install the new bolks yourself), the KICS come premade with new bolts in (plug'n-play)
- Ichiba's come with hucentric caps, KICS you have to order seperately (Ichiba's are cheaper $$ than KICS [cost-wise])
- Rotar does have to come off for the Ichiba install, to swap out the new bolts
- I hope this ends the thread...

KICS > Ichiba - they do the same $H!T, however I believe KICS are JDM \(^^)/
