Default Wheel Mounting Question

I will have new tires & wheels delivered. I will most likely have them drop shipped to a nearby tire garage & have them do the work. What is an average price for the job. The work will consist of removing the tires from the wheel so the TPMS sensors can be relocated to the new wheels. The tires will be put back on the wheels. Then mounted. they should already be balance before the merchant ships the wheels to me. Will the sensors have to be recalibrated/reset?

Since you are not purchasing any items (and the shop isn’t getting any markup), expect to pay the shop’s hourly rate (probably anywhere from $75-$125/hr., depending upon your location. It shouldn’t take longer than 45 minutes to do this if the shop has the correct equipment and experience with high-end wheels and tires.

If the sensors are replaced in their original positions (F-Right, F-Left, R-Right, and R-Left) you shouldn’t need to recalibrate.

You might want to consider an alignment which of course will add to the cost.

That's not at all helpful: The tire must be removed from the wheel to install the tire pressure sending unit. Then balanced. Figure $80/4.

^^ Good point. Once the tire is removed and re-installed, the original balancing probably needs to be redone. I didn't consider this in my estimate. This will add an additional cost.

And, I would recommend checking the alignment.
