Default Poll: Wheel RE-finishing....need advice

When my wheels were aligned at the dealer, the equipment left deep fang marks on the outer lip of my RAYS.

The Dealer offered to have them fixed.

Will the new finish hold up as well as the old finish?

Poll: Yes - Do it, The finish will hold up fine.
No - This is a bad Idea, Live with it.

If the dealer is taking care of it I would. If something mess up I would go back. And ask if they do a good job.

let the dealer refinish them, what is your other option? I would try to get the dealer to have them powdercoated black instead of refinishing them... might even end up being cheaper for the dealer...

the quality depends on if they are powdercoating or refinishing. if they powdercoat the rims, that means that they strip off the existing paint and start from new. if they refinish that means that they just refinish the section that was damaged which has a possibility of chipping in the future. whatever they do, make sure that you have a warranty on the work.
