Default New Wheel: Yokohama *** ADVAN RZ *** Wheels

At first glance, looks similar to the RS, but a closer look reveals a pseudo "split five" design, similar to Work Emotion CR Kai. Also available in the dark color I MUST HAVE- gunmetal!

It's either these or the "split six" AME TM-02 for my new wheels. Man.. both of these are M.A.T produced.

I'd love to see more pics of the new Advan wheels on some cars.

Nice!

I've always been a fan of the RS's. These look good too.

I'm keeping the RGII's... you just get tired of the look. I'll swap them out every year so the grass won't be as green on the other side. Your car's looking pimp though. So many choices... RPF1's also, which is also M.A.T, but hella cheaper... and available in SBC.

I think the gunmetal/white/black lip combo would look good.

Oh wait... you have the gunmetal Weds

I used to think the multi spoke rims like the RS, CE28, CR KAI did not look good. Your car, JetPilot, and a few others have changed my mind.

thanks

but yeah, I was never blown away by white cars with muted colors. maybe if that recessed area on the outer lip rim had an accent color, but white can accept such a strong wheel color it'd be a shame to put a dull color on. I struggle with the Chrome Silver... I can't run white, or gold, or bronze and have it look as good as a white, red or silverstone car.

but if you are keeping the gold RGs, then go for it, that way you can still pop when you feel the urge

OMG This is the best new wheel announcement since the RGII 4 years ago. Thank you God!

is it being offered in the dark chrome colour like the RS's? I think that would be much better than gun metal. What kind of sizes are available (ie are there 19s?)

edit: did some googling found the size list.

Looks like all of the offsets are pretty conservative....I vote for 19x9+25 and 19x10+25.

Wussup Noods... yeah, the SBC color would look good, and I heard they are as durable as real chrome... just not giving a weight hit that real chrome would, but I seen this white porche with Gunmetal, and the old Greddy pics with bronze TE37s, and I thought even then, to get a dark color. Plus you don't have to wash em as much... the dark colors would hide the brake dust and dirt

The Advans I have are 18x9 +22, 18x10 +25...

... and considering volk TE's 19x10.5r +22 is "pushing" the "not rolling fender" phobia I have, as well as many others, the 18/19x10r +25 rim would be "max flush w/o roll."

BTW Noods, it's "Kics Project"... in your sig... sorry, just a pet peeve.

first of all, sig is fixed I knew it was called Kics project, but since everyone else around here said project kics, i just followed like sheep haha.

if you do some calcs, the .5" difference means you push your rims outwards by .25", which is about 6.35mm (according to google), so

10.5 +22 = 10 +(22-6) = 10 +16 in terms of outward flushness

or the otherway
10 +25 = 10.5 +(25+6) = 10.5 +31

so if you wanted max flushness on a 10" wide rim, you'd need offset in the teens to match the TE 10.5+22 offset.

haha, i'm all about the bling, but if you like GM, go for it. I figure SBC would still match your criteria of "dark" rim, so i figured i'd throw that out there. I know the RS has a +15 offset available, not sure if the RZ will provide the same.

Yup... like I said, I don't want to match the 10.5 +22's position in terms of "flushness" because others have said it will rub or "it may or may not rub" so rolling the fenders is the best bet. So... for people that are phobic about rolling fenders, the 10r +25 would be the best bet for guaranteed "no rolling." Actually, a 10r +22 would be even better.

Wow, in a non-related note... Kipers really going at it with the new guy, McShea, on who's going no.1 on draft day. Gotta love Kiper.

Fixed...

or the otherway
10 +25 = 10.5 +(22+6) = 10.5 +28
