nah decided im keeping them gonna run a 245/275 tire. or maybe just 275 in the rear. its gonna fit. i like these to much to try and get rid of them gonna make em work

 

do your front wheels rub if you hit a bump while turning? looks great btw!!!!

 

I disagree, it looks terrible.

 

of course it looks funny now its not dropped. but its definetly not for everyone. as soon as its dropped the camber will dial in and it wont stick out nearly as much

apparently with the 275 in the rear and some camber and rolled fenders they wont. and dropped on coils. this way its a little stiff that will help to. gonna try and fit the 255 fronts cause the 245 will be a lilttle to stretch for my tastes. as the 255 look BUTTERRR

its gonna work just like offset-z33 setup just im gonna be at 1.5" drop where he is like 2.5 or something. so im sacrificing the lower drop for the taller tire for comfort as my roads arent to great.

 

Obviously you know this, but in case others are confused; tire width in the front isn’t a factor as to rubbing since the front wheels turn (and a 245 or 255 won’t make any difference).

It looks to me that your fronts may rub when in a turn and compressing the springs, but your actual experience doesn’t seem to indicate this.

245 might only help with rubbing the top of the fender and will let me use less camber...but i doubt its much if any. i dont know about rubbing while turning. right now i do not rub while i turn. but im at stock height. if offset-z33 can chime in here...did your front tires rub when turning the wheel at all? compressed or not? or did they only rub the top of the fender?

 

Prior to installing the cusco adjustable a-arms for a little more neg. camber up front I did have some rubbing up front, but mainly because Im quite low. If I would have raised it there wouldnt have been much of an issue. Now that there is some neg. camber there isnt any more rubbing except on larger bumps (usually with a passenger) there is a slight rub on the passenger side very edge of the fender/liner. There is no rubbing when turning at all, now or then. I can turn lock to lock with zero rub. Now if I went with a narrower tire I probably would have not had any issues at all. Remember I also have an extra 3mm worth of spacer up front too (so a +9 front) - this all adds into the equation.

With a 30 series tire you need to lower the car more because otherwise it will increase your wheel gap. So really if you stick with 35 series, you can have a really nice look with very little wheel gap with a more moderate drop (plus a beefier tire).

I really need to clean up the car and take some new pics one of these days...

 

I just looked up the specs on my tires compared to your Toyos...

My front 265/30/19s are 10.4" wide and 25.3" tall
My rear 275/30/19s are 10.9" wide and 25.5" tall

Toyo T1-Rs
245/35/19 9.6" wide and 25.8" tall
255/35/19 10.1" wide and 26.0" tall
275/35/19 10.6" wide and 26.6" tall
285/35/19 11.2" wide and 26.9" tall


My front 265s have close to the same measured width as a T1R 275, so my front is pretty wide.

So comparing your tire choice with mine - My fronts are 0.5" wider than yours and 0.7" shorter. My rears are only 0.3" narrower, but a whopping 1.4" shorter.

 

so how are things working out?

 

well have a possible buyer for my rear tires. gonna try and run the 255's front they hopefully will work. and um yah just waiting a few works for more money to buy the coilovers then i guess ill post again. but offsetz33 what are your camber amounts in front and rear

yah met up with a guy today to sell the rear tires. hes running +15 with 285 on 19's it looks very tight he says he never rubbs and hes running -2.9 camber. he conviinced me to keep the tires saying it would fit. so i guess to try and not lose money im going to keep them and his were tucked soooo nice and not to much camber where it looks dumb. so im going to try that. he also says he uses a 5mm spacer at times. and is switchin to 305 tire. he has no rear camber kit either.
