Angry tires messed up

I cant believe that I went to get an oil change and saw my front tires on the rear! I dont have time to change them till the weekend, and I was wondering whether or not the tires or the sensors will be damaged till then.

By the way, how dooo those sensors work anyway---yes, yes--
I am mentally challenged

Ummm...if you have the stock rims, it should be impossible to mount the fronts on the rear, the left on the right, or anything like that. See this post for more information as to why it is not possible with stock rims.

Now, you may have after market rims, so I am not challenging you.

As for the pressure monitors, they work becuase they are basically RFID tags. They sense the pressure and when the computer in the car emits a weak radio frequency, they absorb that energy and use it to reply with the pressure. They broadcast the pressure using the same weak radio frequency. RFID tags are cheap to produce ($0.05) and will start appearing in everything.

When I had new tires installed at my local Nissan dealer, they had front wheels mounted on back and back on front on one side. I have the enthusiast with 17s. Luckily I noticed before I drove off.

yeah if they do it on one side and not the other, and you drive on it. they can go ahead and replace the LSD while there at it, cause its toast.

but if its both swapped(they must have tried to rotate the tires) no harm done other than your TCS will be very confused, and your speedo will be off to the high side.

Thanks everyone for the help! I have the 18" touring rims, BTW.
I also noticed that the front tires (now in the rear) make more of a water-separating splash than the rears did in their original position, you can tell its been raining alot down here!
