Default 5zigen proracer locks or ray's locks

they're about the same price, but which will give thieves a more difficult time taking it off?

i hear rays use a universal key? was i misinformed? does anyone know how do the 5zigen proracer (open-ended) locks work? i couldnt find much ppl on the forum that uses the 5zigen.

I think both of those use universal keys. I went the ones in my signature (McGard), they are true locking lugs.

Rays, universal? umm, no. The keys are 7 sided with a groove. My key has a number on it, I suspect the groove is in different places on other lugs

but...... while they look the best, they may not be the most difficult to remove.

ok, having a 7sided bolt with a groove for key sounds reassuring. too bad ray's don't make open ended lugs. those are nice. thanks for your help

if you dont want to spend that much money, look at Muteki SR48. While the other Muteki lugs are not considered high quality, the SR line is.. and still pretty inexpensive. Unsure of their lock tho.

well my budget for lugs is $150ish. and the ray's fall into my price range, i just want to make sure whatever i get, it provdes the most piece of mind. i would really like the kics projects, but it looks like to me their locks are just a lug with a special toothed lug, not a physical lock/key type of lug.

i prefer functionality over looks.

i'm actually waiting for my Avons to arrive so i can mount them on my Fno1r-c. =)

i too want to complete the 5zigen name by getting the lugs, but i just might get the rays or mcgards if those offer more deterrent than the 5zigens.
