Default Widest Toyo R888 on 10.5" Rim; Questions before purchase..

** Just purchased Enkei 18" RPF1 9.5" front and 10.5" rear with a 15mm offset.
** Lowered 1" with Eibach springs; stock suspension otherwise.
** Willing to have the fenders cut/rolled.
** Rear Tires: I'd like to get a 305 or a 315 on the back; will this work or should I play it safe and get a 295?
** Front: Thinking 255 is the way to go regardless of the rear.

I'm no expert; thanks in advance for any help on this topic.

That's an extremely aggressive rear offset to run a wide tire. Your definetly going to have to roll the quarter panel lip as flat as you can get it. Your going to need alot of camber.

They only make a 295/30/18. And that won't fit. It's too small a diameter. Your going to have to try and fit the 305/35/18. It's going to be very very tight.

** 295 was my "safe choice" but after reading your comments about the diamater I realize I don't know that much about tires; can you help me to understand why the 295/30 won't work because of the diameter?
** What part will allow the camber to be fixed/adjusted?
** Seems like my only choice is 305/35/18 Rear & 255/35/18 Front

Stock rear diameter is approx 26.4" depending on which model car you have. The 295/30/18 is 24.97" it won't fill out the wheel well. You might have a problem with VDC running the 255/35/18 front with the 305/35/18 rear becasue the front will be slightly larger diameter than the rear. That's a no go with VDC.

What is your front offset?

I believe they have the proper 275/35-18 to run up front with you rear tire size.

first off excellent choice in wheel and sizing! you will be happy on how the wheel fits... as far as my suggestion on tire and camber etc:

Go with...

Fronts
275/35/18 up front with .2 degrees more negative camber = will clear for sure and shouldnt rub at all

Rears
305/35/18 camber it in a lil around -1.8 to -2.0 = it will clear suspension but you will have to cut that inner fender lip, just much better than rolling it.

you can adjust the rear by buying the spc rear camber kit... its like $150 or cheaper i believe... the fronts will have a lil adjustment available.

DISCLAIMER: this is if you are moderately lowered like 1.5-2.0 inches... and setting up as a street setup, with mildly aggressive camber but not so much tha you're wasting tires away. its best to let us know what suspension and how low and what purpose is the car being setup for.

heop that somewhat helped.

Do you have any experience with the Toyo R888's?

** Jet - the front and rear offset are both 15mm offset's
** The car is lowered 1" with springs; stock suspension otherwise

I have a 18X9 +22 on the front and neg 1.4 camber and the 275/35/18's rubbed. I had ADVAN Sport tires on previously in the same size and they fit fine. These R888's are a wider than most tires. Remember 275 is the tread surface width. Not the overall width.

Your running a wider front rim and a smaller offset and your camber is not adjustable. The 1" drop isn't much, but you will have more suspension travel than me. I am on very stiff coilovers. I would suggest the 265/35/18 on the front.

I have 255x35x9.5 up front and 305x30x10.5 in the back. My car is slammed on D2 coilovers with the fenders rolled. I think its a little too aggresive but i personally love it. Why not be a little different?

My RE30 18x10.5 rears are +18... here is what the 295/30s on "1+ inch drop" will look like:

note: you can probably stuff like three cats in that wheel gap. does not look good unless you slam it and have a little rear camber. its well over 1.x inches off the overall diameter compared to the stock setup.

your best bet on R888 on such an aggressive offset is to stick with a 275/40/18. the R888s run like 10mm wider than what they state. the wheel gap will not be as bad.

when lowered more. it looks a little bit better, but your speedo will still be way off.

wow, cheston, i had no idea the 295/30 would buldge out so much on 10.5" wheels. right now im running kdw-2's in a 275/35 and they are slightly stretched. running a +4 offset and i have about an 1" to 1.5" of space left due to the great job on the fender roll and pull but not sure if i'll be able to get those 295's without rubbing. crap! i guess it time to get rid of the 20mm spacer and go with a 10mm.

^^

yeah. the 295 R888s are like 11.8" tread width. what you see in the pict is the tire at like 36psi.. the 305s are listed on the Toyo website to be ~12.1" wide. some chunky sidewalls definitely! if the OP really wanted a 305 to fit, probably a +twenty-something offset is the only way. on a normal spring drop.

My car is pretty low... this is the 295/30/19 and a 255/35/18 18X9 +22/19X10 +25. The 295/s rub with less than -1.6 camber, but I use the car mostly on the track so I can definetly use the camber. These tires are very wide overall for their treadwidth. You can't use really aggressive offsets with these tires.
