Those won't become affordable before we run out of oil to make the gasoline that runs the cars that would wear them.

just pure sex. dymag has dot approved carbon wheels for bikes. i almost bought a set, but sold the aprilia to get the Z. i would guess you would need around 15-20k for a set of these, and it would be strictly smooth highways for me. i can't wait to finish this post so i can go back and look at those photos some more!

Just the fact it weighs less than half a normal wheel sure as hell does. Don't like the carbon look then paint it and everyone is happy.

And to the people scared of it breaking you guys realize dry carbon is stronger than steel right? You don't know how well they engineered these things and considering they cost that much I would bet they can handle anything a normal forged wheel could. Might blow a tire if they break and certainly couldn't be fixed like a metal rim but I don't see how they are unsafe.

thats true

however i dont care about weight as my Z is NA anyway and not fast

and i just dont like how carbon fiber looks. Especially on wheels.....polished is my preference

but they do look well made and expensive

True but it is more brittle than steel. CF wheels will shatter instead of dent.

Wow those things are lite!!! They would be a great match with CF tires...haha
