I have no idea how much those cost but carbon fiber wheels for motorcycles have been out quite a while and run about $2,500 each. Most of the carbon wheels are not DOT approved for road use but a few are.

Have you seen what happens to carbon fiber when it breaks? Think about what would happen if you hit a pothole or speed bump...

cool idea, seems a tad bit sketchy i want to see them tested in harsh driing environments and stuff like that. they have to perform to make the cut
