Default 19" wheels owners..do you experience...

anyone that has 19" rims..have you had a problem of bending or anything that is caused by the rim size

i haven't had any problems. running 245/35 and 275/35 you get pretty meaty sidewalls still. But then again i'm not driving on pothole heaven that is the east coast. The quality of your wheels will also be a factor. Lower quality wheels will crack before they bend but fixing a bent wheel is expensive regardless and the wheel you fix won't quite look like the other 3 wheels due to machining and refinishing.

Bending wheels is all about tire profile size. If you run a 30 series, the chances are higher of bending than lets say a 35 or 40 series tire.

I have already bent one of my front rims which are 18's with a 235/40 on it. And I am very careful about going over bumps and holes. Seeing that you are from NY, just be careful where you drive.

how did you bend your rim...did you 'know' that you bent it..meaning was it a big pothole..or did it bend just from driving regularly
