How did you talk yourself into spending $3500 for volks and tires?

i'm kinda in the same boat. i was going to drop a gwap on set of Volks but decided to go with a nice set of cheaper wheels and with the extra cash i was going to spend on wheels i'm going to buy a carbon fiber hood. I don't see the hype in "Volks" but this is also coming from a guy who doesn't wear Abercrombie. its the same concept. I think people are more concerned about the name brand/hype than anything else.

actually, I had wheels on my old car that weren't nearly as nice as volks and they were 2k with tires. When you go shop for wheels and see them in person... You can easily tell that volks are manufactured a lot better than other wheels companies. Sure some of the other ones won't crack, but when you go to sell them- Volks always sell quickly.

back when i bought my set, wheels + lugs + caps were less than $2000 shipped. spent $900 on tires. i was also looking at axis wheels for about $1200. i knew if i bought the axis, in the end i wouldnt be happy with them in the long run. so it was an easy decision to pony up another $800 for the volks.

the problem is Charles at Rxmotors is giving me such a good price, I can't pass on it. The gt-s 19"x9.5+10.5 with 17 + 19 offsets (im pretty sure) is that the best set-up for the z?

honestly, if you're sweating on deciding on whether or not you want to spend $3500 on wheels, maybe you should stop...cause you're going to constantly worry about them being stolen after the fact, or cry a river if you curb them by accident.
but volks are hella sexy haha. the mod bug defies all reason though, if you want it, you're going to spent it to get it haha.

But just to let everyone know, I did put a deposit down of a set of Volks. I bit the bullet and bought em.

Just do it man. I'm in the same situation as you. I graduated from college but went back to get a nursing degree so I'm still in college. $3500 is a lot to spend on rims, but as long as you know how to take care of them you should be fine. I got a set of used work s1's for $2800 and I had a hard time trying to stomach that. Just as long as you have a few extra g's for a rainy day, you'll be fine. Once I got the rims and put them on, I don't think of the money that I just spent. I'm just enjoying the look of the new rims. Just do it!
