Even though you think the bronze makes'em look like subbies I'll have some pics tonight of my buddy's DBZ w/ bronze P45R's all the way around. They're coming in from wheeldude tonight so the pics may not get posted til tomorrow.

that would be great. Wheeldude actually PMed me about Rota wheels.
Is there a negative stigma with Rota as a brand? doesn't seem well received, much like Axis.

Then get daytona350z's rims those are nice as hell and for a good price to.

If I didn't just drop 1500 on coilovers I would be all over those but hey one thing at a time.

they are basically imposter wheels. they have no creative talent and are made in sub par factories in the philippines(not saying anything bad about filipinos, i am one of them)

they take a desifgn of another wheel company like work or volk and make a cheap fake. they also claim they are jwl and via approved, but stickers and casting techniques are easy to overcome:

1. they are 19in ( i was only considering 19 if it was a mindblowing value buy)
2. they are used. (even though i bought a used 05z , it only had 4200miles on it) so i want to put fresh flawless wheels on it.

I will prob do wheels then suspension next. although I really like the sound of the bassani exhaust, its gonna be a toss up after the wheels.

I'd like 18inch wheels cause im for performance more than show.

but yes i agree, those rims do look very attractive.

Guys, its all about what your goals are and what you are willing to pay. Personally i love the advans, but i see nothing wrong with the rota's or Axis wheels. Personal preference i guess. I suggest you get what you like and not get something because its what everyone else likes..

Good luck and make sure to post pics to let us know what you decide.

The Rota P45R's have proven to be a very solid wheel for an affordable price. There was a recent thread where one of our customers cracked one of his wheels and posted a picture. The crack was determined to be caused from hitting a pothole while driving on extremely low tire pressure. His tire had a dark thick line all the way around the tire which is a sign that his tires were driven on for an extended period of time at very low pressure. If you check out the Rota P45R gallery you will see tons of 350Z's running these wheels without any issue and everyone is extremely happy with their wheels

https://my350z.com/forum/wheels-and-tires/207847-rota-p45r-s-thread.html

We also had a recent customer crash his wheels head on in to a concrete median at 30mph and the only damage to the wheels were a bent lip. His tire blew out with a large hole and the wheels did not crack one bit. This is very impressive considering my Volk Racing wheel bent from hitting a pothole, and this Rota P45R hit a concrete median head on.

The only negative comments about Rota wheels that I've read on this forum are from vendors who sell Volk Racing wheels, a select few people from Socal who I assume are friends with these vendors, etc.. People who actually own Rota wheels have nothing but positive comments on this forum.

Yes the majority of Rota wheels are replica's, however your comment about "sub par factories" is absurd. Have you been to the Rota plant in the Philippines? I assume you haven't if you are making this comment, once again this is just internet hearsay and how rumors are started.

Pictures of their testing facility

The wheels are tested and they meet JWL/VIA standards, their testing equipment is also regularly checked by JWL/VIA to ensure the tests are accurate. Also Rota has never had a JWL/VIA sticker applied to the wheels, the JWL/VIA logo is stamped in to the wheel.

A few of us from Wheeldude.com are also visiting the main Rota plant in the Philippines in September. I will be sure to take tons of pictures for you guys and also try to get video of the manufacturing process. We have an old video that Subydude made while at the Rota plant in 2005 but it is just still images joined together.

I guess when you're a company that blatantly steals the designs of wheels from other companies... it's hard to garner respect. Too bad.

See, i dont understand this thought, when everyone talks about stealing designs from other companies yet what about the body kit replica kits...when you have vendors here who's business it is, to buy an authentic kit and copy it... nothing against these guys by any means, but where is the rational behind this comment??
