I have S Drives. Got them a few months back, no complaints.

The only good thing about these tires is the neat tread design.

Everything else about the ES100's sucks.

+1 my Z came with those, I've never been so happy to trade away my stockers lmao

ES100's are no good. I thought that was already common knowledge among people that supposedly know tires.

So how does the Yokohoma S. Drive compare to the Advan Sport?

i just got the s drive for my stock 17s.
Discount tire price matched tirerack plus 5%. I only got them because i was thinking bout selling the car and they were cheap.
BEST TIRES IVE EVER HAD!
i had nitto 555s on a set of 19X8.5 19X9.5s volks and they didnt have any traction compared to these.
Had falkens on my car when i bought the car THEY were terrible.

even under high revs and hard shifts they gripped like they had spikes in them.
smoked my buddies GT stang (Z= stock - GT= headers back and intake) and i give cred to the tires. they didnt slip at all. although i give more cred to the z haha another one eats the dust.

i would highly recommend the s drive esspecially for the price.
i drove in rainy weather (only an inch or so i live in AZ) and they had fantastic wet traction.
i was going to write a post recommending these before i saw this post.

So would I notice much of a difference going from the Goodyear GS-D3 to Yokohama S.drive on my rear tires?

^Honestly for regular driving, you probably won't.

I'd also consider the Kuhmo SPTs in this segment.

What about the Yokohama ADVAN S.4 is that any good of a tire? Because I see the tread rating is better and handling rating is good also. I like to do my spirited drive time to time so that can be a factor. Plus it cost 10 more per tire than the S.drive

I am having a set of S. Drives installed on my Z next week, will keep you all updated. This is my first replacement set of tires with the Z, so we’ll see how it goes…

The major reason I choose the S. Drives was value. Most reviews I’ve read online have been positive –a lot of bang for the buck. I only drive my Z in good weather & mainly in the summer. (She is a real garage queen.) So a good handling summer tire is all I need.

BTW, my daily driver is a 2000 Maxima SE. I currently run Yokohomas AVIDS V4 on it. I know it is a different tire, but I have been happy with the Yokohoma brand.

Advan AD08's are one of the best street tires on the market today.

Here is all 141 TSB... there are none mentioning tires...

The dealership is just B***S****ing --probably because they have a deal with some other tire manufacturer and don't want to sell you Yokohamas.
