I've talked to a few SCCA guys about running 305s vs my square 275 set-up, and they warned me that unless ambient temps were 75F+, the larger 305-sized tire, in general, wouldn't heat up enough to be effective.

I will get some pics up shortly.
The rear are 335/30/18.

I was concerned about not getting enough heat into them myself but going from 275 to 295 to 315 in the front I have noticed improved grip regardless of temp.

I can only speak for A6's though. I have not used kumho's but from what I have been told they take a bit more to get heat in them.

WTF!?

Okay, you need to post the specs on your setup i.e. rim diameter, width, offset, spacers (if any), suspension, etc. That's got to be the most aggressive setup I've seen on a Z, ever!

18x11 +0 w/ 315/30/18 fr 18x12.5 -14 w/ 335/30/18 r. No spacers. Flex with swift springs (changing to koni or something else better this winter). Cusco sways and a-arms. Jic traction and camber arms. Spl midlinks. Cusco rs 1.5way. still managed to come thru the finish gates at the toledo pro sideways every run. need to find camber arms that I can get more neg. out of.

Sorry to hi-jack.

back on topic... depending on wheel width and offset 305's can be done. You will have to pull the fender out some. As for paint damage you can kiss the paint on the edge goodbye. If you plan on pulling the fender out make sure to cut off the tabs on the fender for the liner or they will leave bumps in the fender.

Holy $hit! +0 & -14 offsets!? Wow! Are those the Work Varianza rims?

I thought the 18x10.5 +15 RPF1s with 295/30s on all corners I'm looking at were aggressive. Then, I saw your setup . . . I'm impressed. I noticed you're FI, which I figured was the only way you can push your Z with that much rubber.

Do you have any rubbing at all? Anything you want to share with us autocrossers?

They are meister s1's. I was gonna get the ccw's but I got a helluva deal on these.

The rears rub. I gotta cut the inner fender pull the quarter out and weld a filler piece in.

If you want to be competitive in sm2 buy a fd rx7 and if you arent running stock class get rid of that junk vlsd.

That looks sick.... I thought that the front fenders couldn't be rolled anymore.

That's interesting that you mentioned RX7. Well, unfortunately for us in SM2 in Texas, the reigning SM2 National Champion (multiple times) competes in our local club, Erik Strelnieks. He drives the beautiful & fast RX7 below. My NA Z does not stand a chance against this monster.

I have never ran against him. At toledo he drove the 135i. However I did get a chance to talk to him some. Judging by how well he ran the bimmer I don't even want to imagine how fast he is in that tri-rotor.
