Default Opinion: SSR Type-C RS Wheels on a red car

Just looking for some opinions here. I'm looking at the SSR Type-C RS wheels:

Unfortunetly, they don't come with a polished lip. How do you think these will look on a red car with black interior?

Yup. Third choice for my redline. I am already selling my meisters, staring
at my te's, and still wondering how these would look. Great choice.

these will look very good on a redline as long as its got an aggrssive stance/look.

fwiw my buddy has them on his dark gray E30 M3. they are pretty light weight and look great.

they are not terribly expensive, but i am pretty sure that SSR does not forge them the same way rays does. not saying its inferior or anything, just food for thought if you are concerned about that stuff.

I believe that is a forged wheel. 18 inch wheels are about 20 pounds. The less expensive SSR Comp series is a popular autocross wheel.

it is, but like i stated it is a diff type of forging(again, not saying its bad) than what rays/bbs uses. its called semi solid forging and apparently they are the only ones that use that particular process.

The ultimate in one-piece wheels. Forging is the process of forcing a solid billet of aluminum between the forging dies under an extreme amount of pressure. This creates a finished product that is very dense, very strong and therefore can be very light. The costs of tooling, development, equipment, etc., make this type of wheel very exclusive and usually demand a high price in the aftermarket. Semi-solid forging (SSF) is a process that heats a billet of special alloy to an almost liquid state and then the aluminum is forced into a mold at a very high rate. The finished product offers mechanical properties very similar to a forged wheel without the high production and tooling costs of a forged wheel. When low weight and performance are on your priority list, the SSF technology offers an excellent value. Currently only SSR (Speed Star Racing) from Japan is licensed to use this process for the production of wheels. Read more about semi-solid forging technology.
