Default Excited!!

Well guys, I purchased my first pricey upgrade for my Z. I ordered a set of Rota P45Rs for my Daytona Blue Z. The wheels are Yamaha Black. I haven't seen any pictures of a DB Z with these colored Rotas, so I'm excited to see how it looks.

I'm getting the wheels tommorow(monday) and will be sure to post up pictures asap.

yeah, those Rota get so many bad reviews here

For that $$ you could just get some decent engine mount, a set of Tein spring, a nice drop-in filter, and....may be a test pipe?

But if you really like the rims, enjoy it Just so you know if you decided to post up some pics of your Z with Rota on, some people might be saying some ****.

Well i've been very happy with my P45's. They took a 30 MPH hit straight onto a sidewalk... only bent the front right rim, had to replace it... but the other 3 still great. I'd like to see some other wheels take that kind of hit.

Anyway, black rims on a blue car? I dunno. Hope you like them though.

I personally would go for some sort of performance mod first, I went rims first because teh aftermarkets that were on it when I bought it were hideous.

Be sure to post pics...

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against Rota. I never own them so I won't go as far saying that it's bad. And I think black rims on blue car could be decent with some exterior cf pieces.

There's also a thread here that show bent Volk from going over a pot hole, so there you go. It's just that some people here doesn't like Rota much for some reason

Some people assume just because its cheap means its crap... which isn't always true. Use your sig as an example... RX-8, rather expensive... but slow, lol. Funny that is, my friend has an 07 RX-8, and is going to mod it soon. I must not be a good friend, because i'm going to let him spend $7K to turbo it. Hopefully he will be faster than my Z then. We shall see...

I heard alot of beef about Rotas too..... This was my thought process :

I liked the black/blue look. I saw a Daytona Blue with stockers painted black. Loved it......

I don't drive hard or race. So basically the wheels aren't going to get any abuse other than a daily driver. I couldn't afford much more.

Basically the offset was right, price was right, color was right...... I will have pics up hopefully tonight. Fedex has to deliver them, so I gotta try to be home to sign....

And Exterior CF pieces are going to be happen. My windows are already smoked black, so that will be a good accent. Gonna work on the performance mods next however..

Just put them on the Z tonight guys. I took a pic with my phone, but it sucks. Will get digital pics taken Tuesday or Wednesday night....

I love how it looks. Exactly how I wanted. Surprisingly the wheel gap isn't as bad as I thought either.....

Will post pics as soon as possible

Post the pics, yes they may be cheap, but they are great quality, proper offset and pretty light wheel for the money. I wasn't knocking you in my other post, it looks like it kinda started something. Just wait to see how much more money you can drop in this car.

lol, you right about my sig. The reason for that sig is that before the Z, I bought a brand new RX-8 just because I like the look of it.

I wasn't plan to mod it a first, but then again...I can't leave my car alone. The more I research about the car, the more I find out that it is very hard to make power for that car. The 13B Renesis engine that come with the car is fully tune for optimize setting already. The intake and exhaust mod doesn't do much except for the sounds, and a set of $5,000 Greddy turbo just for 30hp? So, I grew frustrated feels that I bought a wrong car, so I sold it after only have it for 2 months. By the time DMV mail me the title, I already sold it and bought the Z. I sure your Z will be able to take your friend turbo RX-8 in a quarter mile

I was gonna wait, but tires are just so much more expensive for 19s than 18s. The one inch difference wasn't a big deal for me.
